There is no fee to join ALHR - membership is FREE.  

You do not need to be a practising lawyer to join: many of our members are law students, or people with legal qualifications not practising law.  

Membership is open to individuals who are:

  • admitted or qualified to practice as a legal practitioner in Australia; or
  • graduates with a law degree or equivalent from an Australian tertiary institution; or
  • working in a legal capacity in Australia at the time of applying for membership; or
  • teaching or studying law or legal-related subjects in Australia leading to tertiary qualifications to practice law .
