ALHR SA March Branch Meeting

Dear ALHR SA Members

ALHR SA's first branch meeting for 2014 is to be held on Thursday 6 March at 5.30 -7.00 pm. The Honourable Catherine Branson QC, former President of the Australian Human Rights Commission, will speak on 'Current human rights issues in South Australia'. See full details below.

The branch meeting will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from one of Australia's most eminent figures in the field of human rights. It will give you the chance to meet fellow members and find out more about human rights issues and how they affect our State. The SA Committee hope to see you there!

The South Australian branch of ALHR is holding its first branch meeting for 2014 on Thursday 6 March in the Adelaide Law School Moot Court. The Honourable Catherine Branson QC, former President of the Australian Human Rights Commission, will speak to the topic 'Current human rights issues in South Australia. Following the address, the South Australian Co-Convenors of ALHR will provide a brief overview of ALHR and its work and will lead a discussion on human rights and how the SA branch can get involved in the work of the national organisation. The branch will formalise arrangements regarding SA convenors for 2014.

The branch meeting is a free CPD-accredited event, counting for 1.5 units. Drinks and nibbles will be provided. The venue is wheelchair accessible.  If you have any queries about disability access to the venue please email [email protected].
