ALHR WA CPD SEMINAR ON ACCESS TO INFORMATION AND THE RESOURCES SECTOR 21 MARCH 2012

From 5.15 - 7pm on Wednesday 21 March 2012 at Ashurst Australia, ALHR WA will be running a seminar on "Access to information and the resources sector". The seminar will provide a practical discussion of some of the key legal issues around the access and use of information in the resources sector.

The seminar will include several well-known and informed speakers, including Sven Bluemmel (Information Commissioner of WA), Kanaga Dharmananda SC (Barrister Francis Burt Chambers and Honorary Fellow at UWA) , and Dyah Paramita (Researcher, Indonesian Centre for Environment Law).

The seminar will be chaired by ALHR National Committee Member John Southalan (Honorary Lecturer, Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Minieral Law & Policy and Honorary Fellow, UWA).

The event is CPD accredited. 1 CPD point is available for Competency Area 2 ("Values") and 0.5 for Area 3 ("Substantive Law").  For those of you who would like CPD points, a $75 registration fee will be charged. The event is free for non-CPD attendees. Get in quick - places are strictly limited. Priority will be given to CPD attendees.

Light refreshments will be served following the event.
